School & Sports Physicals

Why see the pediatrician for a sports physical?

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) suggests making an appointment for a sports phsycial at least 6-8 weeks prior to starting a season to have some wiggle room for any additional follow-ups or new treatments. If you didn't quite make that deadline, no problem! We are more than happy to help you set up your child's next sports physical.

Our pediatricians are prepared to discover and treat any medical or bone/joint problems that can be common in children and teens who engage in any sports. We can also ensure your child is up to date on any immunizations, talk about any concerns, or even brief them on the importance of physical activity if they aren't inclined to engage in any exercise.
